He was happy because he had no
questions to ask. But one day a question came to his mind:
He asked God the meaning of
life.
But God answered his question
with the same question and said, "Take your question and plant it in
your heart and don’t forget this is the kind of seed that needs
water and light."
Then he planted his question
and watered it and gave it light. His question germinated, bloomed
and rooted down. It had a stem, branches and leaves. Every stem,
branch and leaf became another question.
Then he, who once had only one
question, became a tree with many questions hanging off his leaves,
and every new leaf was a new pain and every time the roots deepened,
so did he pain.
The angels became afraid of all
these strong rooted questions.
But God said, "Do not be
afraid. His tree will produce fruits soon and its harvest will be
wisdom."
Seasons passed and his tree
came to fruition. Many people came and picked the answers from his
branches. But in the heart of each fruit was yet another seed, and
every seed was the beginning of another tree.
And whoever took a fruit with
him, planted another seed full of questions in his heart.
